Not all images "work" in black and white. Some have been selected as suitable for conversion and can be viewed within the main galleries. Others can be uploaded for you on request.
Guests - no highspeed internet access? Please request a free CD of these galleries (please note that images are watermarked and not printable).
Please forward this event to your friends and relations – Ashton Lamont does not collect guests email addresses at weddings but there are always lots of requests to view the galleries. And remember Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Bebo etc!
We hope you enjoy the galleries and may be able to recommend Ashton Lamont to friends and colleagues for our wedding, event, portrait, and commercial work.
Guests: High quality individually edited photographic prints or printready digital files can be purchased. See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number. All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6. |

Gin and Karl held their wedding and reception in the grand surroundings of Aldermaston Manor in the village of Aldermaston near Reading Berkshire.
Aldermaston Manor is situated very close to Peter's base in Burghfield Common and he always feels he's cheating a bit when the travel time to a wedding venue is about five minutes!
The Manor House is great for wedding photography - its just so pretty both inside and outside!
As always the registrars - its the Newbury registrars for marriages and civil partnership ceremonies at Aldermaston Manor - were sympathetic to the needs of professional photographers, and it was possible to shoot a good selection of images during the all-important wedding ceremony.
And we received the usual good service from the venue staff.
The weather was sunny and pretty bright for some of the day and so we completed some of the formal photos adjacent to the woods to benefit from the nice even lighting afforded by the shade from the trees. The wind got pretty gusty later in the afternoon and we took shelter around the tennis court side of the Manor House to finish the job.
Aldermaston Manor used to allow confetti to be thrown inside the building - usually from the balconies onto the bride and groom "sheltering" below in the main foyer. This is no longer allowed because of the work involved in clearing up afterwards. But on the day, when we came to throw the confetti the wind was so strong it blew a whole load of it inside. So we might as well have thrown it inside!
You'll see in the galleries that some guests even indulged in tennis in the darkness of the evening. Not sure how that works when you can't even see the ball but they seemed to be enjoying it enormously!
Weddings usually take place in the library at Aldermaston Manor. The photo below taken with a special wide angle lens shows the ideal position for the registrars desks from the professional photographers point of view. This enables the photographer to take up position in the alcove by the windows and not cause any distractions to the guests or have to contend with strong sunlight behind the couple - which would be the case if shooting from the opposite front corner.

Aldermaston Manor is an imposing sight from just about every angle. In the photo below you can see the rear of the building. Behind the viewpoint the lawns fall away to extensive woodland and a lake.
