We hope you enjoy the galleries and may be able to recommend Ashton Lamont to friends and colleagues for our wedding, event, portrait, and commercial work.
Guests: High quality individually edited photographic prints or printready digital files can be purchased. See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number. All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6. |

The Bowden Hall Hotel in the village of Upton St Leonards on the outskirts of Gloucester hosted Joanna and Davids' wedding ceremony and reception.
Bowden Hall, or to give the hotel its full name, the Ramada Jarvis Bowden Hall Hotel has an interesting history which visitors can browse in the main foyer. The hotel has extensive lawned grounds sloping down to a river, which Peter can report is home to many tame ducks. Makes a very nice walk!
The registrars who conduct marriage and civil partnership ceremonies for the Gloucester area can be very difficult indeed for professional photographers to work with as this office has some of the most restrictive policies in the country regarding photography during the ceremony. Fortunately we had very pleasant officiants on the day and Peter was able to obtain permission to shoot some photographs. So whilst the coverage is not as extensive as that completed for weddings in many other areas, its pretty decent for Gloucester!
The weather conditions on the day were just what every bride hopes for - bright sunshine and quite mild. The bright sunshine is not of course great for professional level photos because its too contrasty and it makes the participants screw their eyes up - what is sometimes called racoon eyes - so we moved into a shaded area near the riverbank to shoot the all important family groups and other posed photos.
The Bowden Hall Hotel has a large lawned area leading down to a river where its also possible to find some areas shaded by trees, making it a good spot for photos. In the photo below our couple take a stroll along the riverbank.

The front of the Bowden Hall Hotel Gloucester as seen in the photo below is very imposing. The grounds fall away quite steeply towards the river in places but there is a large area of terraces right up against the hotel which is nice and flat - and also dry underfoot, which is something the lady wedding guests wearing high heels always appreciate!
