Not all images "work" in black and white. Some have been selected as suitable for conversion and can be viewed within the main galleries. Others can be uploaded for you on request.
Guests - no highspeed internet access? Please request a free CD of these galleries (please note that images are watermarked and not printable).
Please forward this event to your friends and relations – Ashton Lamont does not collect guests email addresses at weddings but there are always lots of requests to view the galleries. And remember Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Bebo etc!
We hope you enjoy the galleries and may be able to recommend Ashton Lamont to friends and colleagues for our wedding, event, portrait, and commercial work.
Guests: High quality individually edited photographic prints or printready digital files can be purchased. See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number. All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6. |

Emma and Rob chose Bracknell Register Office for their marriage ceremony. And yes the correct term is "Register Office" not "Registry Office" though the two are often used interchangeably!
Somewhat confusingly, the initial administration for weddings and civil partnerships is completed in the town centre offices in Easthampstead House Town Square. But if the ceremony location is to be the authority's official Register Office then that is within Easthampstead Park, a lovely old country house a few miles away near Wokingham. The latter is split into two sections, and as you approach it down the long drive the Register Office is on the extreme left. The centre and right of the building is a separate venue available for hire for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and other events. Why the long explanation - make sure your guests know where to go as ceremonies can be in quick succession in busy periods!
The Bracknell registrars responsible are very pleasant and easy to work with and there are no onerous restrictions on photography during ceremonies. So its possible to obtain a good selection of mid-ceremony photos. Weddings at Bracknell Register Office are all the more easy to shoot than a little while ago since the layout in the Syrett Room has been changed to roughly a semicircle looking towards the big picture windows. This means that the natural light falls evenly on the subjects rather than illuminating them from behind - which can be a big challenge for even the highest end photographic and video equipment. The blue and cream themed decor of the room looks very nice indeed.
Everyone exits the Syrett Suite onto a hard surfaced terrace area which has been sympathetically landscaped to assist with arranging posed photos. There is an extensive area of woods and a meadow adjacent to the terrace and this can be used in suitable conditions. On the day it was rather wet underfoot so we remained on the terrace. The grounds at the rear of Easthampstead Park are actually divided with chain link to assist the staff in running separate events at the same time.
From Bracknell Register Office we made the short hop to The Ely Hotel Yateley Hampshire. By the way the "y" is pronounced "i" as in "idea" rather than "e" as in "eat". The hotel in very close to Blackwater and Camberley.
Emma and Rob hired the Hotels' marquee for their wedding breakfast. They decorated it themselves and you'll see from the galleries that it looked very nice indeed!
Our couple selected a special short duration photographic package but since their ceremony was in the late afternoon we were able to fit a heck of a lot into a short period - starting just before the ceremony and finishing after the first dance.
Emma and Rob have been living in Spain - lucky things! And are moving to the United States with their family of three boys. Doesn't that make you feel tired just thinking about all that must be involved! How ever did they manage to plan a wedding as well!
In the image below you can see the marquee at the Ely Hotel Yateley decorated ready for the wedding breakfast:

The ceremony room at Bracknell Register Office, otherwise known as the Syrett Room, has good natural light enabling a variety of photos to be shot during the ceremony as below:

The terrace outside the Syrett Suite at Bracknell Register Office is sheltered and is particularly good in inclement weather. Big group shots are seldom works of art but its always nice to have a photo of everyone together who attended the wedding. In the image below Peter stood on the stairs at the exit to gain a little height - always desirable when shooting large groups in confined spaces:

The Ely Hotel Yateley is on a main route near Blackwater and Camberley, and the nearby M3 motorway and so is easy to get to. The front rooms of the hotel are olde worlde and the accommodation at the rear is modern. The marquee is erected to the left. The image below shows the hotel at twilight:
