Anita and Andy chose the prestigious Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club for their wedding and reception. The Ashdown Park Hotel is located near the hamlet of Wych Cross near Forest Row and East Grinstead in East Sussex. This venue has performed many different functions during its long life including as a training house for nuns. The interior design and architecture are varied and the grounds extensive and very well landscaped and maintained - in other words its highly photogenic! It is associated with Luton Hoo in Bedfordshire, Tylney Hall near Hook Hampshire, and The Grand Hotel Brighton East Sussex.
The hotel has a beautiful converted chapel where the couple held their wedding breakfast. You'll see that they chose to have their marriage ceremony in the Summerhouse in the grounds. The law in England requires that weddings must be conducted within a permanent structure - they cannot be outside or in a temporary marquee. The Summerhouse performs this role whilst allowing the guests to gather on the lawns.
The registrars responsible for civil ceremonies at Ashdown Park are pretty easygoing as regards photography. Photographers can gain permission to shoot from within the Summerhouse but more varied and pleasing images can be obtained if the photography is done from a variety of positions outside.
The weather for this July wedding was humid and with intervals of strong sunshine.
The evening entertainment included a live band, a tribute band called The Fab Beatles. They certainly looked and sounded the part!

Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. Do not steal now, and that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. (With appreciation to Bryan in "Taken").
