Please forward this event to your friends and relations – Ashton Lamont does not collect guests email addresses at weddings but there are always lots of requests to view the galleries. And remember Facebook, MySpace, Bebo etc!
We hope you enjoy the galleries and may be able to recommend Ashton Lamont to friends and colleagues for our wedding, event, portrait, and commercial work.
Guests: High quality individually edited photographic prints or printready digital files can be purchased. See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number. All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6. |

The Crowne Plaza Hotel Caversham Bridge Reading Berkshire hosted this April wedding and reception, which fortunately passed off without April showers! In fact it was one of the first really fine and warm days of the year and was very pleasant for everyone. The Crowne Plaza stages many weddings and other events and you can be sure their experience will show.
Photography was not restricted during the ceremony even though the officiants were from Reading Register Office. We were lucky enough to have a very pleasant couple of officiants and I always heave a sigh of relief when I find it is they who a conducting the ceremony.
The hotel has a small garden area suitable for formal photography. And since it borders onto the River Thames its also possible to use the nearby public spaces and the towpath. There is an enormous army of swans at Caversham Bridge and this can limit practical access to the riverbank - they are incredibly messy underfoot! But on the day the banks and paths were clear for us. Oh yes - now you know why sensible experienced photographers wear boots with thick treads rather than smooth soled shoes!
Parking at the hotel is easy - it has its own large area which is secure and entry and exit are by token from reception.
