Please forward this event to your friends and relations – Ashton Lamont does not collect guests email addresses at weddings but there are always lots of requests to view the galleries. And remember Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Bebo etc!
We hope you enjoy the galleries and may be able to recommend Ashton Lamont to friends and colleagues for our wedding, event, portrait, and commercial work.
Guests: High quality individually edited photographic prints or printready digital files can be purchased. See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number. All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6. |

Naomi and James chose St Johns Church Woodley near Reading Berkshire for their marriage ceremony.
St Johns, or to give it its full name the Church of St John the Evangelist, is a lovely photogenic building and professional photographers will be pleased to learn that there are no onerous restrictions on photography during the ceremony. The interior is quite dark in places and as with many churches access to a discrete shooting position ahead of and to the side of the couple for the all important shots of expressions is tricky. Outside, the church has fairly large grounds including a shaded area which is big enough to accommodate group shots.
From St Johns we made the short journey to The Compleat Angler Marlow Buckinghamshire for the wedding reception. The Compleat Angler hotel is situated on the banks of the River Thames adjacent to the famous Marlow Bridge, and on the opposite bank is All Saints Church Marlow. This all makes for a very pretty setting. Photographers should be aware that there is very little if any shade in the main grounds and so you do need to take great care in where you shoot the participants on very bright days. On the day we shot many of the formal photos which had not been scheduled for the church in the evening when the light was rather more forgiving.
During the afternoon musician Mike Taylor entertained the guests with his gentle mixture of saxophone and other music. I seem to have been bumping into Mike at weddings for years now and I always think that his presence adds greatly to the laid back happy ambience of a wedding.
In the wedding photo below you can see the ring exchange in progress. The officiants at St John the Evangelist Church Woodley are pretty relaxed about professional photography during the ceremony but it can be tricky to get good shots of the couples faces due to the internal layout of the church.

The Compleat Angler Marlow Buckinghamshire is a pretty unique wedding venue partly because of its location right on the banks of the River Thames, next to a huge weir, and adjacent to a very unusual design of bridge. Some great photos can be had from the bridge as shown below.
