Our couple chose an all day combined photography and video package which started with the girls at our brides house finishing their getting ready, and ending shortly after the first dance in the evening.
The weather tested our nerves on this autumn day, with heavy rain and strong winds in the morning. We got lucky though and some blue skies appeared just as the ceremony was coming to an end, and so we were able to complete many of the must-have group photos and portraits outside.
The distinctive exterior of Reading Registry Office features in the first photo below. Peter shot this photo later in the day as the weather was atrocious in the morning.
The Reading registrars are easy to work with - on awkward restrictions on professional photography and video during ceremonies, though flash is not allowed.
There are some terrific locations for photos alongside the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Caversham.
The Crowne Plaza Hotel has a small private garden to the rear and this together with the steps that lead to it is a good location for the group photos.
The speeches are always a great photo and video opportunity. Our couple had a small informal wedding breakfast before a much larger party in the evening.

Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. Do not steal now, and that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you do steal, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. (With appreciation to Bryan in "Taken").
