Whether you're planning a staff party, a summer ball, a prestigious golf or race day for your VIP clients, a fundraiser, a banquet, an awards or university / college graduation ceremony, or an adventurous team building exercise for your key staff, let us make sure that your participants have a photographic record to treasure for years.
We can set up a mobile studio if required complete with large lights, softboxes, and backdrops in a suitable part of the venue. We liaise with the facilities manager beforehand to ensure compliance with any health and safety or specific venue issues. Your guests come over to this area to have formal or fun portraits done at any stage during the event. Usually we shoot several poses per person or group to include head and shoulders, ¾ length, and full body. If the venue has a photogenic area then we may use this instead of an artificial backdrop. This is ideal for such events as formal balls and college graduations.
We also offer roaming coverage to capture informal documentary or reportage style, candid, table, and dancefloor images. We use specialist professional equipment to shoot beautiful atmospheric images even in very low light; or powerful flashguns mounted on dedicated brackets or stands where appropriate (these help avoid redeye and unsightly shadows in the background). If required a mini-studio can quickly be assembled anywhere at the venue - inside or outside - comprising portable flashguns on stands and the light reflected flatteringly through photographic diffusers.
If the event is to include an award ceremony then each delegate can be shot from a few feet away receiving their award.
Outdoor team building and adventure training events are photographed using fully weatherproofed equipment so you can be sure the elements will not ruin your record of the day.
We work by offering online galleries of all images. There is the option to password protect access. Normally we collect email or phone contact details during your event using a simple confidential index card system and then pass the gallery access details to each person direct – relieving the organiser of a potentially time consuming chore.
Attendees can then peruse the galleries at their leisure when it suits them and from anywhere in the World. The gallery images are colour and contrast balanced and are high resolution so you can see exactly what prints will look like. Orders can be placed online or by phone or mail and prints are dispatched shortly after. Galleries remain online for at least a month and longer by request. CDs are available for those who cannot readily view by internet.
We may make the galleries and high resolution files available to the organisers for uploading to company intranets and digital file order fulfillment. Please request further details.
We no longer recommend printing on site because:
- the current dye sublimation printers used for events are fast but do not offer much choice in print size and the prints are prone to dust damage. Alternative printers are not fast enough to be practical
- typically there is insufficient time for images to be properly edited to a professional standard that you would wish to display prominently in your home or office
- many guests do not want to have to carry around their prints, or alternatively to have to queue up to collect prints at the end of the event
Prices comprise two parts, cost of attendance and cost of prints or digital files. The cost of attendance is quoted on a case by case basis depending on your brief. Print and digital file costs for one off orders placed by guests are usually the same as our standard print and file prices and can be seen on the online order form. Where organisers wish to purchase a volume of prints then cheaper prices are available – please enquire.
For our standard terms and conditions please download the General Photography Contract. In the absence of a written contract Ashton Lamont accepts your booking only on the express condition you accept that all the terms and conditions of the General Photography Contract apply without variation.
Public liability insurance cover is held. Event organisers and venues can view and download the certificate here.
