Background Information
Sapna and John chose Heckfield Place near Hook Hampshire for their marriage ceremony and reception. The ceremony took place in the Orangery and the wedding breakfast and evening party in the marquee. Heckfield Place is well situated if you have guests travelling from diverse locations as it within easy reach of the M3 M4 and M25 motorways and Heathrow Airport.
Weddings at Heckfield Place already benefit from great interiors and extensive well tended grounds including the lake with its spectacular fountain. The owners are spending millions on an extensive refurbishment and the finished venue should be even better! The staff are always very helpful - you'll probably find you are invited to view the plans and samples for the new interior design.
We were lucky with the weather for this December wedding and were able to shoot outside. The venue has a golf buggy at the ready and photographers and guests can use this to tour the grounds and make short work of the trip down to the lake.
Indian weddings are always a pleasure to photograph as they are so colourful and this was no exception. Lots of family and guests made it from abroad and I was pleased to see that the ladies were a riot of colour. Not to mention the guests always seem to be in high spirits! You'll see that Sapna wore a "British" dress for her civil ceremony and the couple changed to Indian dress later in the day.
The couples' work has since taken them abroad to Mexico and America - lucky things!
