Background Information

St Lukes Church Erleigh near Reading Berkshire hosted this July wedding. Photography was restricted to some extent during the ceremony but I was still able to shoot a nice selection. You'll see that the interior of the church is ornate and roomy. Its possible to shoot some images looking down from the organ loft. There is very little space outside for photographing groups so this is best done at the reception venue. From the church we adjourned to Wokefield Park near Mortimer Berkshire for the wedding reception. We had good weather, if a little windy at times. The grass certainly showed signs of the lack of rainfall and the hosepipe ban! Wokefield Park has its own golf club and usually its possible to hitch a lift on one of the golf buggies to ride down to the lake for some extra photos. The couple are enthusiastic singers and they were serenaded by members of their choir at the reception. Alastair is a police officer and Gemma a teacher and they are near neighbours of Peter. The bride's mum is a keen amateur photographer and it is through her research that they found Ashton Lamont.

The couple chose a reportage or photo-journalist style for most of the day.
