The quality is not as high as that of original stills images. To watch the video in high definition click the Play button, then select "720p" from the dropdown menu in the bottom right of the video screen. Then click Pause and wait for a short time to allow this large file to start streaming without stuttering on playback. Click Play again to resume.

See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number.

All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6.

Background Information:

Louise and Mark chose Marlborough Town Hall in the lovely old market town of Marlborough Wiltshire for their marriage ceremony. The picturesque victorian Town Hall is as might be expected in the centre of Marlborough and its important to take into account traffic and parking especially if you plan to marry on a market day. The venue itself does not have exterior grounds but photography is possible on The Green just a short distance away. Louise and Mark planned to have their essential formal wedding photos shot at their reception venue and alongside the nearby Kennet and Avon Canal so this did not present a problem.

The Marlborough registrars severely restrict photography during the wedding ceremony. Coverage must be from a fixed position and is limited to a few shots of the bride's entrance, ring exchange, posed shots with the register, and the couple's exit. Many couples do not appreciate that these restrictions are enforced even though written guidelines are issued by the office. So if you do plan to marry in this part of the World do make sure you clearly understand what can and cannot be provided by your photographer.

On this occasion Peter was able to gain permission to shoot video from a fixed position throughout the ceremony. The best current stills cameras can shoot high definition video and its possible to extract still images of a reasonable standard from the video. The absolute technical quality still depends on the shooting conditions - dark venues and backlit subjects will still provide quite a challenge - but its desirable to have something of the ceremony. Gallery Five above comprises still images taken from the ceremony video.

Louise and Mark were lucky enough to have a guest who supplied and drove their gorgeous vintage car.

From the Town Hall we made the short journey to the reception venue - The Royal Oak Wootton Rivers Wiltshire. The Inn and the village itself are picture postcard locations and Peter did allow himself a short stroll around to admire all the well tended gardens and thatched cottages whilst the guests were eating!

The Royal Oak is just a few hundred yards from the Kennet and Avon Canal so we made use of the canal as a site for some of the photos. Interestingly no permit is required to shoot at this location; couples should note that on large stretches of canals and rivers you should normally obtain a permit from the British Waterways Board.

The Royal Oak has extensive gardens which are obviously maintained by a real enthusiast. Lots of lovely border backdrops! On the day there was a slight nip in the air for this Summer wedding and so not all the guests were inclined to venture outside, but you'll see that the speeches were made in an ideal part of the garden where the speakers were able to stand on a bank and be seen and heard by everyone. Terrific!
