Guests: High quality individually edited photographic prints or printready digital files can be purchased. See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number.

All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6.

Background Information:

Tracey and Lee decided upon The Old Mill Aldermaston near Reading Berkshire for their marriage ceremony and wedding reception.

The couple chose to have an intimate day with just a few family and friends, and the old world atmosphere of The Old Mill complimented this nicely. The photographic coverage selected was just for the ceremony, a little of the cocktail hour, the all important family and other posed photos, and the short speeches. Come to think of it, its surprising what you can fit into a short time!

The Old Mill Aldermaston is very close to Peter's base in nearby Burghfield, and so naturally he has worked there several times over the years. The venue is first and foremost a family home, all be it a very smart and beautiful one, and this makes for a terrific ambience compared to some of the corporate chain wedding venues. The extensive grounds are worthy of particular mention as they are gorgeously landscaped and well maintained. Its also a well known location for anglers and a leisurely walk around the meadows and lakes is recommended. Some of the staff have been there for many years and thats always a good sign.

The registrars who conduct weddings and civil partnership ceremonies at The Old Mill Aldermaston come from the Newbury Office. Some time ago this Office had very strict rules limiting professional photography during the ceremony but these rules have been relaxed and on the day our registrars couldn't have been more helpful.

Weddings at The Old Mill take place in The Stable Room. Its a long narrow room and usually its best to shoot ceremony images from near the back using long lenses to avoid causing distractions. Indeed Peter has stood on chairs at the back before to obtain clean shots over the heads of the guests when the room has been packed full!

On the day we had bright Autumn sunshine at a low angle in the sky after this late afternoon ceremony. These conditions can be very challenging for photographers as although they make for great landscapes they are not very flattering for portrait images. Fortunately The Old Mill has some well shaded picturesque areas which are great for small groups.

The Stable Room is the usual setting for wedding and civil partnership ceremonies at The Old Mill Aldermaston. It can be a tight fit for large parties but is ideal for more modest numbers such as shown in the photo below.

The grounds of the Old Mill Aldermaston are gorgeous varied and extremely well looked after as you can see in the photo below.
