Queensberry offers a gorgeous range of high-end designer albums in both flushmount and the more traditional matted types. With Queensberry flushmount albums each page is covered by a print which is mounted directly onto - or "flush" with - the page. Each print extends to the edge of the page and it may comprise just one image or a montage of several images. The print can extend across the album as a double page spread - in which case a narrow gutter appears where the print crosses the seam between the two pages. With Queensberry matted albums each page is comprised of one or more standalone images which are viewed through apertures cut in a thick card which is itself fastened to the page - see the closeup image below.
Flushmount albums are also known as "digital" albums because of the method used to design the page layouts n.b. graphics software programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, Photojunction, and QuarkXPress. They are sometimes called magazine albums and coffee table books, but note that recent industry usage of these terms is reserved for media manufactured in the style of traditional books such as Ashton Lamont's Belvedere range.
Numerous options are available and Queensberry has a comprehensive website which will help with your choices.
Ashton Lamont completes an initial design in consultation with you and puts this online for your approval. Only once any alterations are completed and your approval obtained does the manufacture go ahead. Please note that unlike many other photographers Ashton Lamont does NOT subcontract the album design to Queensberry or any third party, or use templates. Your album is designed entirely inhouse and is unique.
