Not all images "work" in black and white. Some have been selected as suitable for conversion and can be viewed within the main galleries. Others can be uploaded for you on request.

Guests - no highspeed internet access? Please request a free CD of these galleries (please note that images are watermarked and not printable).
Please forward this event to your friends and relations – Ashton Lamont does not collect guests email addresses at weddings but there are always lots of requests to view the galleries. And remember Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Bebo etc!
We hope you enjoy the galleries and may be able to recommend Ashton Lamont to friends and colleagues for our wedding, event, portrait, and commercial work.
Guests: High quality individually edited photographic prints or printready digital files can be purchased. See the Online Order Form clickable underneath each fullsize image or contact us with your specific requirements and with your credit or debit card details or send in a cheque (payee “Ashton Lamont”). You can also pay by internet bank transfer – contact us for the sort code and account number. All prints sized 7”x5”, 9”x6”, and 10”x8” come with a lovely black bevelled matte ready for display. All these print sizes cost the same but you may wish to avoid 10”x8” unless the print is intended for a readymade frame of that size because its aspect ratio involves cropping some content from the two shortest sides of the image – compare a widescreen television to a standard television – 9”x6” resembles widescreen and 10”x8” resembles standard. If an image does not work in 10x8 it is supplied in 9x6. |

Christine and Richard travelled from their home in the North of England for their marriage ceremony at the family's local church St Peters Church Farnborough Hampshire.
St Peters Church is a beautiful building both inside and outside. Unfortunately photography is severely restricted, which is a great shame as its layout means it would be one of the easiest churches in the South of England to shoot in uninstrusively.
Guests are not allowed to take photos at all once the bride has made her entrance. Professional photographers are confined to a balcony at the rear of the church and are supposed to shoot only during the singing of hymns. This is a great distance from the "action" and limits the variety and quality of images that can be obtained even with the best available equipment (for the techies, Peter shot with a Canon 5D Mark II because of its great low light capabilities and mainly with the long lens the Canon 70-200 f2.8 L Image Stabilised. Its better to stay at f2.8 and crop the enormous 5DII file afterwards than to add a convertor to increase the lens reach). Peter set his second 5DII camera to video mode as a stills backup and was able to capture the entire ceremony in reasonable quality.
St Peters Church is a popular wedding venue and couples should be careful to run ontime or risk getting tangled up with the next wedding party. There are extensive grounds to the rear of the church and so its possible to shoot the essential formal photos without clashing with other parties arriving at the front of the church.
Our exit from the church was greeted with a heavy rain shower but this quickly blew over! Fortunately its very rare for rain to affect the entire day at Summer weddings.
After the service we made the short trip to The Foresters in Church Crookham where our couple had arranged an intimate meal for immediate friends and family. We were able to use the pub's grounds to complete our posed photos.
The day was split into two parts for photographic coverage. The second part commenced with some bridal photos at the nearby Frimley Hall Hotel where Christine and Richard had arranged to stay prior to their honeymoon.
Then we moved to Southwood Community Centre back in Farnborough where other friends and family joined us for an evening of Céilidh dancing.
