This video features a wedding ceremony at Highfield Park Heckfield near Hook on the Hampshire Berkshire border. I was a lovely summer wedding with beautiful weather. Highfield Park has now closed as of January 2026 so this video may be already thought of as a "golden oldie"! I shot the entire day from the girls "getting ready" right through to the evening dancing. This sample video is the ceremony part of the day in full. I have also shot ceremonies here outside in the lovely grounds.

Background Information and Highlights
UPDATE: Highfield Park has closed as of January 2026. The owners have stated that it is no longer available for commercial use as a hotel, conference or wedding venue and will instead be repurposed for internal business use. It appears that the existing bookings have been cancelled. Fortunately there are plenty of similar wedding venues in close proximity though booking at short notice may be problematic.
Meanwhile you can browse this sample photo gallery illustrating five of the brides I have photographed and video’d at Highfield Park. The venue is near Hook on the Hampshire Berkshire border. Three of the Five featured couples chose to have their ceremony at the venue whilst of the other two couples one selected the adjacent St Michaels Church Heckfield and the other St Nicholas Church Newnham.
Several rooms were licensed for civil ceremonies, the most popular being the large Chamberlain Room which opened out onto the sunny terrace and had sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. This room was normally the location for the wedding breakfast and evening reception as well. Also available were several smaller function rooms.
And there were outdoor wedding opportunities should you wished to "live dangerously" bearing in mind the unpredictable English weather! The Folly had long been a popular choice. There was also The Pavillion on the extensive lawns.
See lots more wedding photo galleries including e.g. Peter’s Crowne Plaza Hotel, Peter’s Roseate Hotel, Peter’s Reading Registry Office, Peter’s Old Mill Aldermaston, Peter’s Mill House Hotel Swallowfield, Peter’s Warbrook House, Peter’s Christ Church Reading, Peter’s Elephant Hotel, Peter’s Elvetham Hotel and many more.

The Wellington Room at Highfield Park had an 86 person capacity for wedding ceremonies but could be a tight fit so you may have prefered the layout shown in the above photo. This layout is also much easier for professional photographers and videographers to shoot from the front without a crush!
