Background Information and Highlights
Reading Register Office has now relocated from Castle Hill to the Town Hall in the town centre.
Couples can choose the main function room in the Town Hall Reading Berkshire featured in this gallery for their wedding ceremony and reception rather than the smaller ceremony room - which is the room in which most weddings take place. You can book the even larger Concert Hall if you have a gigantic number of guests!
This beautiful Victorian building has become a popular wedding venue and its popularity is likely to increase even more now that couples have ready access to the lovely Forbury Gardens just a few yards away. The Town Hall Reading does not have any outdoor space of its own but the landscaped and well-maintained Forbury Gardens are just a couple of minutes walk away and are a great location for the group photos.
Both couples featured in this gallery booked an all-day photography package and one added video, starting with some detail photos at home and finishing shortly after the first dance.
Many couples who book Reading Register Office prefer a strict target budget or may have low numbers of guests and so like to keep their professional photo coverage to just the one location and sometimes to include the nearby Forbury Gardens. Reading being made by a guest during the wedding ceremony. I shot both photos and video for this wedding. If you look closely you can see I have attached a small audio recorder to the lectern to ensure the best possible audio quality. Another recorder was hidden in the flower arrangement on the top table. I used three separate video cameras and two stills cameras

This bride had a large number of guests and we were able to use the main stage in the Concert Hall to photograph the big group photo. It was a January wedding and was not suitable for outdoors!
It is just a few yards walk from the Town Hall to the beautiful Forbury Gardens
Lovely weather for this July wedding means it was possible to shoot the big group photo outside in Forbury Gardens. I stand on the steps of the memorial to obtain a higher viewing position so that everyone can be seen
