Background Information and Highlights

Lets get something understood right away! This gallery is unlike most other galleries on my site because Newbury Registry Office - also known as Newbury Register Office - seems to attract lots of couples who prefer short duration photographic coverage and lots of group photos and portraits. I may offer special short duration terms - please enquire. If you are interested in longer durations - perhaps starting with the girls getting ready, then the ceremony at the registry office, and finishing in the evening at one of the very many local wedding venues, and additional styles of photography - please do have a browse on some of the other local Ashton Lamont galleries.

Anyway, Newbury Register Office is located just north of the town centre and close to the junction of the M4 and A34 - so its easily reached. There is plenty of onsite parking; parking access is closed until shortly before the opening time.

The building - Shaw House - is a handsome old Elizabethan mansion. Both inside and outside, with the mature gardens, are great for photos. Shaw House can be busy as its also open for tourists, plus several weddings may be booked per day so don't be late!

I have worked at this wedding venue lots of times and with most of the registrars at the various other local venues. The registration staff are in the main very helpful and do not make onerous restrictions on professional photography and video.
