Background Information and Highlights

Wokingham Registry Office - or to use its correct term “Register Office” - is located a short walk from the town centre in Shute End Wokingham.

Very important: there is no parking at all at the Office other than for the wedding car. The car park adjacent to the building is for council staff only and wardens patrol regularly. The nearest parking is a few minutes walk away in Rectory Road but be aware that this car park serves the Waitrose supermarket so often it is full and has queuing. In other words recommend your guests allow for plenty of time!

You’ll see from the photos in this gallery that the ceremony Office is very small so numbers of guests are strictly limited. Do consider alternatives such as the nearby Wokingham Town Hall or Bracknell Register Office with South Hill Park. There is a lawned area with mature trees next to the Office which is good for the must-have group and portrait photos which most couples like to have after their ceremony.

The couple featured in this gallery had their ceremony whilst the covid restrictions were in full swing as you’ll see. Afterwards they had a small party with the guests in the restaurant at the nearby Easthampstead Park.
