Thank you for the fantastic photos, they are so beautiful, really lovely. And our album is so much better than we ever could have imagined. Fantastic!

Our Lady and St Annes Church Caversham is a good-looking century old Catholic Church just north of the centre of Reading Berkshire. The interior is spacious and fairly light, and so is good for professional wedding photography and video. Coverage is permitted throughout the wedding ceremony.

Peter started the coverage with a few detail photos - these always look great at the beginning of your wedding album:
Our featured bride was just finishing getting ready as Peter arrived so although the "getting ready" was not part of her brief it was a good opportunity to grab a few of these popular reportage-style shots:
We completed some set-piece portraits as requested by our bride with her parents, the bridesmaids and the rest of the wedding party before departing for the church:
Our Lady and St Annes Roman Catholic Church Caversham is a beautiful century old building:
Our featured groom just before the start of the ceremony:
The balcony at the back of the church is a great spot from which to shoot photos and video of the marriage ceremony in progress:
There are no onerous restrictions on professional photographers during ceremonies, so as long as you are sensible you can shoot a good variety of photos from various vantage points:
Shortly after the ceremony was over we departed for the reception location - Bix Manor near Henley (see the separate Bix Manor feature gallery).
The plan was to shoot the various posed group and bridal photos at Bix Manor. Unfortunately the weather had other ideas!
Peter was able to shoot a good variety of candid reportage photos whilst everyone was inside enjoying the cocktail hour, the wedding breakfast, and of course the dancing. Fortunately the weather did clear up enough in the evening for everyone to venture outside long enough to shoot the essential groups etc. Peter always carries lots of portable lighting equipment which works from powerful battery packs rather than relying on mains power - so everything can be shot inside if necessary even if there is a power cut; and yes that has happened at a wedding!
